Dolma La Pass during Parikrama
Arrive at Kathmandu International Airport. Transfer to hotel. Evening orientation and briefing about the yatra.
Morning visit to Pashupatinath Temple and Boudhanath Stupa. Afternoon: Complete documentation for Tibet permit. Evening shopping for essentials.
Early morning drive to Nepal-China border (Kodari). Cross border and proceed to Nyalam. Overnight stay for acclimatization.
Rest day for acclimatization. Short walks around Nyalam. Important for adjusting to high altitude.
Drive through breathtaking Himalayan scenery. Cross high passes with stunning views. Arrive Saga for overnight stay.
Drive to sacred Mansarovar Lake. First divine darshan of Mount Kailash. Holy dip in Mansarovar Lake (optional). Evening puja and rituals.
Morning worship at Mansarovar. Drive to Darchen - base camp for Kailash Parikrama. Preparation for the circumambulation.
Begin Kailash Parikrama from Yam Dwar. Trek to Derapuk (16,200 ft) with magnificent views of North Face of Kailash.
Most challenging day. Cross Dolma La Pass (highest point). Visit Gauri Kund. Descend to Zuthulpuk for overnight stay.
Complete remaining Parikrama. Return to Darchen. Evening rest and celebration of completing the sacred journey.
Drive back via Saga and Nyalam. Cross border back to Nepal. Return to Kathmandu with spiritual memories.
Day for rest and shopping in Kathmandu. Optional sightseeing. Farewell dinner in evening.
Transfer to Kathmandu airport for departure. End of spiritual journey.
